This opportunity entails operating and maintaining survey equipment, instruments, and software to collect field data and perform routine surveys for various projects. Provides accurate measurement through reading survey instruments and accurately recording field data. Has the ability to operate in an office type environment and able and willing to perform office tasks as assigned.
What You’ll Do:
Maintains survey equipment.
Checks Crew Chief's calculations.
Operates survey instruments and equipment for field surveys.
Accurately documents and records field data.
Loads and operates survey instruments to conduct survey activities.
Perform field maintenance of survey tools, equipment and vehicles.
Records accurate notes of survey data collection process.
Assists in field research in locating property and right-of-way lines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 2 years relevant experience
Valid driver's license
What We Prefer:
2-4 years of experience in survey or related field. Knowledge of INDOT codes.
Drone license.
Trimble Business Center Software knowledge
Trimble equipment knowledge
Basic understanding of Trimble LiDAR systems
Microsoft Office usability
Willingness to travel. Willingness to work outside in all temperatures and a variety of terrain such as creeks, rivers, steep hills, and bridge embankments. Assist help to the Survey Crew Chief.
